Sarà che ieri era mercoledì (la classica serata da cinema); sarà che, fino a ieri,
non c'erano film allettanti nelle sale cinematografiche; sarà che arriva questo periodo
e ho tanta voglia di tenerezza, coccole e quant'altro (il perché non si sa).
Certo è che ieri, mercoledì 18 dicembre, era quella che io definisco la perfetta
serata piramidale: piumone+film+biscotti = la triade della felicità.
Avevo un gran bisogno di un po' di terapia cinematografica.
Per quel giorno ne avevo davvero abbastanza della vita reale.
Sleepless in Seattle, o Insonnia d'Amore -
regia di Nora Ephron, 1993, con Meg Ryan e Tom Hanks.
Sicuramente meno famoso di Harry ti presento Sally, cult insuperabile di Nora, Insonnia d'Amore è una piccola favola rosa dai toni dolci ma non stucchevoli, una di quelle storie d'amore in perfetto stile anni 90, dall'animo natalizio, che creano tepore e suscitano simpatia; una di quelle amabili commedie da vedere in pigiama, sola o in compagnia, come se fosse una puntata di Sex and the City (senza il sesso, però!). Necessario e salutare per tutte quelle donne che, in tempi di crisi come questo, hanno bisogno di un po' di sana frivolezza e, perché no, anche di quegli happy endings al sapor di lacrime. Annie è una persona seria e ragionevole, una giovane giornalista, fidanzata con l'assennato Walter. Sam è un uomo afflitto, rimasto solo, vedovo e con un figlio da allevare. L'innamoramento avviene quasi casualmente, quando la donna ascolta una trasmissione radiofonica a cui partecipa l'uomo che parla della sua difficile situazione di vedovo. Ispirata sia dalle storie di Sam che dalle classiche romanticherie di Hollywood, la scrittrice si convince che il suo destino è di incontrare Sam. Ci sono due problemi, però: Annie è fidanzata con un altro e vive a Baltimora, Sam vive a Seattle e ancora non sa che loro due sono fatti l'uno per l'altra.
Insonnia d'Amore è ispirato al classico film romantico del 1957, Un amore splendido.
La scena finale, in cima all'Empire State Building (nella quale Annie Reed, interpretata da Meg Ryan, e Sam Baldwin, interpretato da Tom Hanks si incontrano per la prima volta), è un evidente riferimento alla scena di Un amore splendido in cui Cary Grant e Deborah Kerr non riescono ad incontrarsi, proprio in quello stesso posto.
Maybe because it was Wednesday (the classic cinema evening), will be that there were lovely film in cinemas, will be that in this Christmas period I need more affection, hugs and so on. Certain is that yesterday, 18th of December, was the perfect pyramidal evening: sofa + film + cookies = the happiness triad.

Certainly less famous When Harry Met Sally, the must cult of Nora, Sleepless is a small tale of love pink tones, sweet but not cloying; one of those 90's love stories style, from the soul Christmas; one of those amiable comedy to see in pajama, alone or with friends, such as an episode of Sex and the City (without sex!). Necessary and healthy for all those women that, in times of crisis like this, need a little ' healthy and frivolity why not,
even of those happy endings to the taste of tears.
Annie is a serious and reasonable, a young journalist, engaged to the sensible Walter. Sam is a distressed man, alone and with a son to raise. Falling in love is almost by chance, when she heard a radio broadcast in which to participate is the man who talks about his difficult situation of widower. Inspired by the stories of Sam, the writer is convinced that her destiny is to meet Sam. There are two problems, however: Annie is engaged to another man and lives in Baltimore, Sam lives in Seattle and still doesn't know that the two of them are made for each other.
Sleepless of Seattle is inspired by the classic movie of 1957, An Affair to Remember.
The final scene on the top of the Empire State Building (in which Annie Reed and Sam Baldwin meet for the first time), is an obvious reference to the scene in which
Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr can't meet, just in the same place.
Tre fatti che non tutti sanno…
1. La scena in cui Sam e suo cognato parlano del film Quella sporca dozzina e fingono di piangere è frutto dell'improvvisazione dei due attori.
2. Meg Ryan non è stata la prima scelta per il ruolo di Annie.
Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jennifer Jason Leigh e Jodie Foster rifiutarono la parte, che in realtà in prima battuta era stata offerta a Julia Roberts.
3. In tutto il film, Meg Ryan e Tom Hanks condivisero solo una scena di 2 minuti.
Quanta chimica tra loro in due minuti soltanto! La stessa che ritroviamo nel 1998 con You've Got Mail, o C'è posta per Te..ma questo è un altro film e un'altra storia…
